The SCHAFLERHOF offers you dreamlike possibilities for your wedding. The festivities are in highly professional and qualified hands with us. Years of experience already in the planning process ensures the organization of unforgettable moments. Whether floral decorations, wine assortment, band or culinary. We will support you in the evacuated premises of the farm, through the dance floor, to the tasting (on request) for the event character you want.

Background & Scenery

The Schaflerhof was built in 1704-1714 and under the rule of the Esterházy princes served the nearby Deutschkreutz Castle as an estate and base for sheep farming until 1940. After decades of slumber, the Reisner-IGLER family acquired the farm in 2004 and put this jewel to a new use as a branch of the HANS-IGLER winery. In the years 2005 - 2008, extensive revitalization measures, conversions and the faithful reconstruction of the extraordinary roof construction followed.

The carefully renovated building now houses the VULCANO wine cellar with all vintages of the top cuvée, starting with 1988, a barrique aging cellar on ground level for 700 barrels, and tasting rooms. The historic walls with their unique architecture and the special roof construction in the shape of an inverted ship's hull are among the top sights of Blaufränkischland.

Tasting rooms

With an unobstructed view of the expanse of the gentle Ödenburg mountains and the ripening cellar, the tasting rooms on the upper floor of the SCHAFLERHOF present themselves in an atmospheric ambience. The premises can accommodate up to 70 people. The entire upper floor, including the gallery, bridge and spacious terrace, or just the tasting room can be used.

Barrique maturation cellar

At ground level, the wine matures here in 700 barrique barrels. From the gallery, a bridge spanning the entire length of the aging cellar, the visitor enjoys an incomparable view: Above you the historic beams of the roof, below you the hustle and bustle around the wine barrels.

Your well-being and that of your guests is close to our hearts. Convince yourself by a short trip to visit on site. Vaulted cellar, spacious terrace with views of the lowlands to the Schneeberg await your guests for a breathtaking moment. Projector, internet (WIFI) and sound system accompany individual needs as needed to recall heartfelt moments for the bride and groom.
